The 2011/2012 Season Shouldn't Be Missed Reserve Seats Today!

Bringing your students to a live Imagination Celebration theater performance at the Pikes Peak Center is more than an ordinary field trip; it's a journey into literacy and learning in every subject. Imagination Celebration provides you with educational materials prior to each show to enhance the experience for your students.

Each year, Imagination Celebration presents a diverse season that showcases different children’s books, artists, and themes. Our goal is to provide something for everyone and to introduce the audience to a new artistic experience that is unique and engaging. For the 2011-2012 season Imagination Celebration has carefully selected three extraordinary stories and performances that explore the meanings of “adapt”…a powerful message at any age!

1. to make suitable to requirements or conditions; adjust or modify fittingly: They adapted themselves to the change quickly. We adapted the original story for a unique live theater performance.

-verb (used without an object)
2. to adjust oneself to different conditions, environment, etc.: to adapt easily to all circumstances.

CHECK… the school calendar to see if you are in school on FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 2012 to make sure school is in session. We know it sounds silly as a first step, but we have had last minute cancellations due to scheduled-but-still-a-surprise closures.

RESERVE… a bus or transportation. Really, the earlier the better!

ANTICIPATE… that an invoice will be sent to you 6 weeks prior to the show; the invoice will be due 2 weeks before the show.

PREPARE… your students for a truly unique educational experience! Education materials that meet each of the Colorado Standards will be emailed to you 3 weeks prior to the show.

Stuart is a little mouse, born to real human parents in New York City. In this E. B. White fantasy, Stuart enjoys adventures in Central Park and tries to rescue his friend Margalo, a beautiful bird, from the pursuit of Snowbell, their house cat. As this mild mannered mouse tries to cope in a “real person’s” world, he professes that size is not important; it’s temperament and ability that count.

Featuring the brilliant talent of Sign Stage on Tour, this production is signed and spoken simultaneously presenting a unique look at the adaptation of language and communication.
